Abuja to Enugu Bus Price 2026: Fares From Utako and Gwagwalada
Utako is the starting point for the checked Abuja to Enugu options, but the operators use different terminals in both cities. Compare the fare alongside the address where you will board and be collected.
Abuja to Enugu Bus Price Comparison
The checked one-way adult prices were ₦39,600 with ABC Transport and ₦48,050 with GIGM. Checks were made on 11 September 2026 with 12 September 2026 selected for travel.
| Operator | Vehicle | Adult Fare | Departure Information |
|---|---|---|---|
| ABC Transport | Sprinter, 2+2 layout | ₦39,600 | 6:30am, seats shown at check |
| GIGM | Toyota Premium | ₦48,050 | Price marked available; time not shown |
ABC’s result displayed ₦44,000 crossed out and ₦39,600 as the current discounted price. The table uses the lower displayed amount. The ₦8,450 difference between the operators is based on those specific results and may change when a discount or travel date changes.
GIGM’s route-price page did not show a remaining-seat count or departure time. Check those details in the actual booking flow before relying on the quote. Neither price is a guarantee of the final amount for a different date.
Utako Departure and Enugu Arrival Addresses
The official terminal directories list the following locations. Match the chosen service to the address on your ticket before arranging transport.
| Operator | Abuja Terminal | Enugu Terminal |
|---|---|---|
| ABC Transport | 36 Ekukinam Street, Utako District 9, off Berger Junction | 122 Ogui Road |
| GIGM | Plot 113, I.V.W. Osisidgwu Crescent, beside Utako Police Station | 7 Market Road, by Holy Ghost, opposite Enugu State Library |
An Ogui Road arrival and a Holy Ghost arrival can mean different pickup arrangements. Tell the person meeting you the company and street address, rather than only “Enugu terminal”.
Utako, Zuba, Gwagwalada and Mararaba are also distinct booking choices around the Abuja area. The GIGM fare above was specifically for Utako to Enugu. Do not assume another departure point has the same price or schedule.
Use the TripNira terminal hub when checking a boarding location. The issued ticket should settle any difference between a general directory entry and a service-specific instruction.
How Long Does Abuja to Enugu Take?
ABC’s checked timetable showed 6:30am departure and 2:30pm arrival on the same date, an eight-hour scheduled journey. Treat that as the operator’s timetable, not a guaranteed road journey time.
GIGM’s price result did not provide a duration, so the ABC estimate should not be assigned to GIGM. Ask each operator for its own expected arrival window and any planned stops.
If the journey is for an appointment, give yourself room between the bus arrival and the appointment time. The published schedule does not include your trip to Utako or your transfer from the Enugu terminal to the final address.
Compare Luggage Rules Before Choosing a Fare
ABC’s published terms specify small-size baggage and a 10kg limit for Sprinter travel. If you have a large box or several bags, confirm acceptance and any extra arrangement before paying for the cheaper ticket.
GIGM uses a size-based allowance in its bus terms: one medium bag per ticket, with dimensions of 30 by 22 by 15 inches. Its terms direct passengers with excess luggage towards a separate logistics arrangement or an additional seat. Check the actual arrangement before bringing more than the stated allowance.
The two policies use different measures. Ten kilograms and a set of bag dimensions are not equivalent allowances, and neither establishes that bulky goods will be accepted automatically. Keep fragile valuables with you in line with the operator’s instructions.
Reporting, Booking and Ticket Changes
ABC asks passengers to be at the departure point at least 30 minutes before the ticketed time. For the checked 6:30am service, that means being there by 6am at the latest under that instruction. GIGM closes check-in 30 minutes before departure, so plan to arrive earlier than the cutoff once its departure time is confirmed.
Book the specific terminals and date, confirm the fare and vehicle, and save the issued booking reference. ABC’s central contact numbers are 08139862090 and 08142552436. GIGM lists contact@gigm.com for itinerary-change requests in its bus terms.
ABC publishes a ₦1,000 domestic rescheduling charge for requests before departure, subject to its conditions. GIGM says ordinary rescheduling and rerouting can involve a fee and any increase in fare. Do not assume a cheaper advance ticket is freely changeable.
Cancellation conditions also depend on notice. Ask the operator to confirm the deduction for your ticket before cancelling, particularly when departure is close. Save the response and the reference for any amended journey.
If Enugu is the start of a later Lagos leg, check the separate Enugu to Lagos fares and departures. Nothing in an Abuja to Enugu ticket establishes a protected connection to another bus.
GUO and PMT Fares From Abuja to Enugu
Two more operators were checked on 14 September 2026 for 18 September travel — a later sample than the ABC/GIGM comparison above. GUO’s Utako booking result returned three vehicle options; PMT returned different results depending on which Abuja park was searched.
| Operator and Vehicle | Abuja Departure Park | Time | Adult Fare | Seats Shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GUO, Sienna | Utako | 6:00 am | ₦71,540 | 5 |
| GUO, Hiace Ultra | Utako | 6:45 am | ₦51,940 | 9 |
| GUO, Hiace | Utako | 7:00 am | ₦51,940 | 11 |
| PMT, Standard NO/AC | Gwagwalada | 6:30 am | ₦20,000 | 16 |
All three GUO cards showed air conditioning and available seats; the adult fare is the usable comparison figure (each also displayed a separate, slightly higher Bus Fare field, and a child fare that was not tested for eligibility). PMT’s Abuja Utako to Enugu (Holyghost) search returned no scheduled trip for this date — an unavailable result, not a fare of zero. Its Gwagwalada park search, a different Abuja terminal, did return the ₦20,000 non-AC fare above. Do not present the Gwagwalada fare as a cheaper like-for-like alternative to a Utako service — they depart from different parks.
GUO’s Utako address is Gouba Plaza, 15 A. E. Ekukinam Street; its Enugu address is 34 Okpara Avenue, between UBA and Polaris Bank. PMT’s Gwagwalada departure point is at Dagiri, opposite Brifina Hotel, along Lokoja Expressway, and its own Enugu arrival address is 6 Okpara Avenue, by Holy Ghost Roundabout — a different building from GUO’s Okpara Avenue address, so do not treat them as the same terminal. The existing ABC (₦39,600) and GIGM (₦48,050) fares above come from an 11 September check for 12 September travel and were not refreshed here.
Questions About This Route
What Was the Cheapest Checked Abuja to Enugu Fare?
ABC’s displayed discounted Sprinter fare was ₦39,600. It was the lowest of the two usable quotes in this comparison, not a verified minimum across every operator or terminal.
Is the GIGM Fare From Zuba?
No. The ₦48,050 observation was for Utako to Enugu. Search Zuba separately if that is the departure point you need.
Does the Bus Arrive at Holy Ghost?
GIGM’s official Enugu address is on Market Road by Holy Ghost. ABC lists its Enugu terminal at 122 Ogui Road. Confirm the exact arrival instruction on your ticket.
Can I Take a Large Suitcase on the ABC Sprinter?
ABC publishes a 10kg Sprinter limit with small-size baggage wording. Check a large suitcase with the operator before purchase; its acceptance should not be inferred from the ticket price.
Did Peace Mass Transit Have a Fare in the Check?
The checked Abuja Utako to Enugu Holyghost search returned no scheduled trips for the selected date. That result does not establish that the route is permanently unavailable, and it does not support quoting a current PMT fare here.
Choose between the verified quotes using the terminal, luggage fit and confirmed departure time. TripNira’s fare-checking approach explains the date and availability limits behind the comparison.
Operator policies, prices, and travel details can change. Confirm the conditions that apply to your own journey.
